Playa Cocles is a beautiful beach located on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. It's known for its stunning scenery, clear blue waters, and sandy white beaches. If you're looking for a place to relax and unwind, Playa Cocles is the perfect destination. Let's dive in and explore what makes this beach so special.

Playa Cocles is a long, wide beach with crystal clear water. The beach is perfect for swimming, surfing, and sunbathing. The waves are great for surfers of all levels, so whether you're a beginner or an experienced surfer, you'll find a wave that suits your skill level. The beach is also lined with palm trees, providing shade for those who want to relax in the shade.

Playa Cocles is situated in the province of Limón, about 4 km south of the popular town of Puerto Viejo. This location makes it a great place to escape the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet. It's also a great starting point for exploring the surrounding area, including the Cahuita National Park and the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge.

If you're looking for some adventure, Playa Cocles has plenty to offer. You can go snorkeling, kayaking, or take a boat tour to explore the nearby coral reefs. You can also go on a zip line tour through the rainforest or go on a hiking tour to see some of the local wildlife.

There is a beautiful hiking trail that goes along the shore, starting at the beach of Puerto Viejo. And who knows, you might even see a sloth or two along the way. If you decide to hike along the main road between Puerto Viejo and Playa Cocles, you will find several small almost hidden trails on the left side of the road into the jungle. Taking these trails will lead to small secluded beaches you can enjoy your day in private.
